Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security in Flood-Affected areas in Democratic People’s Republic Of Korea
The present FAO project (TCP/DRK/3605) entitled “Emergency assistance to support food and nutrition security in flood-affected areas, Oct-2016 to March-2018, USD 500 000” in DPRK seeks to benefit 10 282 farmers and 3 346 family members from 5 603 households in 16 cooperative farms in the most severely flood-affected counties (Yonsa, Musan, Hoeryong and Kyongwon) of North Hamgyong province and seeks to address sustainable development goals (SDG) 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and 15. Mr. Yongfan Piao (Lead Technical Officer) has been the guiding force behind execution of this project under over all operational management of Bir. C. Mandal, Deputy FAO-Representation, DPR Korea, Pyongyang.
