FAO DPRK has been implementing project on technical support for agroforestry development
in lowland landscapes for food security. The project is designed to promote agroforestry
systems and support actions to improve land management to reverse degradation, increase
crop yields and improve livelihoods, especially in mountainous and hilly areas. It also
provides technical and practical assistance to develop country capacities to collect accurate
information that can be used for policy- and decision-making in the forest and land use
sector.
