YRF was established in 2016 as a non-profitable trust. YRF was envisioned and founded by Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Karhana. Its head office is located in New Delhi.The foundation aims to accelerate use of modern science for Agriculture and rural development and dissemination of technology to improve lives and Livelihoods of tribal and rural communities.
These efforts have been undertaken in a participatory manner and in partnership with other knowledge based Institutions , public and private sector organization and local communities.
